Cancer is a worldwide health problem, affecting all countries regardless of race, culture, level of economic development or political system.
Every year, 10 million new cancer cases are diagnosed worldwide.
In Cuba , cancer is the second cause of death for all age groups and the main cause of years of potential life lost. Currently, one out of four deaths is due to cancer.
