Españoles se manifiestan en Madrid |
In
Spain, twenty-two solidarity groups in support of Cuba have started a campaign called
“Cuba no está sola” (Cuba is not alone). As part of that effort, 1800 people
walked on centric street and avenues in the Spanish capital yesterday in
defense of the Cuban Revolution and against the lies and manipulations of groups
inside and outside Cuba, paid by the United States government to subvert the constitutional
government of the Caribbean island.
The
protesters also called for the liberation of the Cuban Five, anti-terrorists fighters unjustly imprisoned in the United States for more than 13 years, and demanded
the end of the economic and financial blockade that US government imposes
unilaterally against Cuba for more than fifty years, and whose only purpose is
to punish the rebel island for choosing a different system of development.
